“Back in this lovesick mess I dive, back in this reckless joy I thrive I hereby concede what I need to survive is to look at you and say I Love You, I Love You, You’re Perfect, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”

The Play:You’ve seen the musicals about felines, cross-dressing nuns, teapots and candlesticks, old French flags, helicopters, flying pigs, singing murderesses, falling chandeliers, and lousy navigation through an ice field. Now, at long last, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change exposes everything you’ve secretly thought about dating, mating, and romance but were afraid to admit. Circle Theatre’s production of this hit musical will take you on a joyride through the jungle of the modern-day suburban mating game.
History:I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change opened at the Westside Theatre in New York on August 1 1996 and became an immediate sellout following its world premiere at the American Stage Company. As it enters its fifth smash year, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change has surpassed the long runs of such New York stage hits as “The Wiz,” “The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas,” “Crazy For You,” “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” “Evita,” “Dreamgirls,” and “Mame,” among many others. The show has enjoyed successful runs in over 30 cities across the world including Dallas’s Theatre Three’s long running production which will soon celebrate its one year anniversary.Originally produced in New York by James Hammerstein, Bernie Kukoff and Jonathan Pollard. Original direction by Joel Bishoff. Originally produced by the American Stage Company, James N. Vagias, Executive Producer
I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is rated R due to some adult subject matter and language.
