René Moreno
René Moreno (Director) has staged Crave for the Milwaukee Repertory Theater/Rep Lab, An Almost Holy Picture for Echo Theatre, Rockaby at the Big D Festival of the Unexpected/Dallas Theater Center, Othello and The Complete Works of Willam Shakespeare (Abridged) for the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, Marvin's Room at the WaterTower Theatre, Miss Julie for the Kitchen Dog Theater, The Twlight of the Golds at The MAC, and The Illusion, The Threepenny Opera and As Five Years Pass for the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University among others. Most recently, Mr. Moreno was associate director alongside writer Rick Najera on his play Latinologues and director of the world premiere staged reading of his new play Buford Gomez: Tales of A Right Wing Border Patrol Officer for Martice Enterprises. As an assistant director, he has worked on In the Blood at the Guthrie Theater/Guthrie Lab, Jitney and A Skull in Connemara among others at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, and Henry V and The Night of the Iguana for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland. As an actor, Mr. Moreno has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, at major regional theaters across the country, in Film, on Radio and Television. A native of Dallas, Mr. Moreno has a BFA in Theatre and an MFA in Directing from the Meadows School of the Arts Southern Methodist University.
