ABOUT THE PLAY: When everywhere you go is tracked, everything you say is heard, and everything you do is predetermined, what will be the consequences when you break free?  '1984', adapted from the internationally renowned novel of the same name, tracks the journey of Winston Smith, a lowly cog in Big Brother's machine in the dystopian state of Oceania. Winston has been brought to interrogation on the charge of Thoughtcrimes and it is through the 'help' of the Thought Police and an unseen grand inquisitor that Winston confesses is his acts of free thought, love, and rebellion...and you get a front row seat.  So ask yourself, what are the real consequences of freedom in a trapped world? Is it worth it?
