CHEERS TO THE THEATER MAKERS
Circle Theatre is excited to announce the launch of a new quarterly event, “An Evening With” beginning in 2025. This series is designed to honor the remarkable contributions of North Texas Theater Makers who have left an indelible mark on our vibrant theater community. From directors and actors to designers and beyond, these individuals have shaped the artistic landscape of our region, and we believe it’s time to celebrate their legacies.
Circle Theatre has announced theatre artist Debbie Brown as the June honoree for An Evening With, a new quarterly program celebrating North Texas theater makers whose careers have left a lasting legacy on our community.
Deborah “Debbie” Brown is a beloved North Texas theatre artist whose career spans decades on and off the stage. A graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, she began her professional journey with the Fort Worth Opera and quickly became a mainstay in the DFW theatre scene, performing at venues including Circle Theatre, Casa Mañana, Theatre Three, Stage West, and Dallas Theater Center.
She spent 15 years as part of Casa Mañana’s Resident Company, performing in over 150 productions and also serving as Company Manager and Director of the Playhouse. Debbie’s versatility as an actor, director, writer, and educator has made her a fixture in regional theatre, earning her numerous accolades including the DFW Critics Forum Award and the Elston Brooks Lifetime Achievement Award.
Her lifelong dedication to the arts continues to inspire generations of artists and audiences alike.
Circle Theatre’s An Evening With Debbie Brown will take place on JUNE 23, 2025, featuring a cocktail hour followed by an intimate program highlighting her work and influence on the North Texas theater landscape. "An Evening Withs" can include guest speakers, stories from a life in the theater, and a retrospective look at her artistic journey.

Each “Evening With” will be an intimate and inspiring event, offering guests a unique opportunity to connect with the honorees, learn about their work, and experience their artistic journey in a meaningful way. Through cocktails, conversation, live performances, and multimedia showcases, we aim to highlight the profound influence these artists have had on the world of theater and beyond. Each one will be different and celebrate the artist whose work you've seen in theaters across the metroplex!
