A HUGE Thank You to our 2024 Finalist Reading Series Attendees! | High School Playwriting Project

We are so thrilled to have had such a successful High School Playwriting Project Finalist Reading Series! Thank you to EVERYONE who came together to make this one of the best years yet!

Here are a few things we are SO proud of in 2024:

- More than 100 people came to watch the work of our Finalists!

- We were so honored to have all of our finalist and semi-finalist writers in attendance as well as SEVERAL top 20 placers AND participants. We hope to continue to encourage ALL who participate to attend—our celebration is for everyone!

- Several educators came to support their student!

- Co-founder Larry Boston was in attendance with his daughter, educator Taylor Romero who was not only a finalist writer herself when she participated in high school, but was there to support HER student who placed as a finalist

- The continued support of the Fort Worth Kiwanis Club which has allowed us to offer scholarship up to $2000 for our finalist writers, $1000 for our semi-finalist writers, And $100 to our top 20 script writers

- The support of the Kiwanis Club, the Crystelle Waggoner Charitable Trust, and TACA which has allowed us to expand our program — bring it into teacher's classrooms, create curriculum, and reach more students

We can't wait to share our highlight video of our event. This is the first year we've been able to have a piece created to help us spread the word to more schools in DFW.

There's so many more things to celebrate. And we are so thankful for that! Thank you to Lauren Garza for these photos of our event!
