About the Event
In past years, Holiday Punch is an evening filled with live performances, music, exciting raffles, food
and drinks shared with friends. The highlight of the event includes our unique monologue
performances where the audience inspires the scripts. Patrons are given the opportunity to
commission a playwright to artfully reimagine one of their holiday memories or stories into a
monologue. These pieces are performed throughout the evening by professional actors seen
throughout our main stage season.
This year, on December 5, 2020, we will be moving Holiday Punch online. We will gather digitally to
hear performances from our favorite local artists and celebrate the hope of theatre coming back to
our stage in 2021. The evening will also include an online auction, music, and surprises from the
Circle staff!
Holiday Punch provides the opportunity for us to connect with and promote local businesses who
are able to donate a product, service, or gift. All proceeds from the celebration will benefit Circle
Theatre and a portion of the proceeds will be earmarked to expand Circle’s education program—a
gift that will help continue to keep downtown Fort Worth’s vibrant tradition of live theatre alive!
In addition to the showcase of monologues, performed by seasoned local actors, the event will
feature multiple prize drawings, an online auction, a wine pull via social media, and more.
Our exclusive monologues written by published, award winning playwrights can be gifted in a
variety of ways! Buy one for your favorite aunt or rally the staff together to roast the boss!
Playwrights Matt Lyle, Jonathan Norton, Vicki Caroline Cheetwood, Del Shores, Michael
Hollinger, and Bruce Graham have already signed on for the event!
How can I purchase a monologue?
Tax deductible monologues can be commissioned for $250. They are available for purchase
online circletheatre.com/holidaypunch or can be bought over the phone through the box office.
How can I purchase tickets to this event?
This event is totally free, no tickets needed!
What will this online event look like?
Tune in to our website and social media pages on the evening of December 5th. At 7PM, we will kick
off the event with a greetings video from our staff that will give you an idea of how the night will go.
Next we will be live on our social media pages doing live raffles, a wine pull, and other surprises
throughout the night. At 8PM, we invite you to join us to watch our live streamed Tribute Video and
our commissioned monologue links will go live! Also, check out theour online auction that will be
live on our website for the three weeks leading up to the event!
How do I access our event?
Our first video will be posted on our website and Facebook at 7pm on December 5th and the links to
the commissioned monologues will go live on our website following the final video at 8pm.
