Fort Worth Sundance Square — THREE DFW THEATRE COMPANIES UNITE TO BRING THE METROPLEX A “BLACK BROADWAY SUMMER"
FORT WORTH, TX - 2/04/25 - This summer, Circle Theatre is thrilled to team up with Dallas’ Soul Rep Theatre Company and Fort Worth neighbor Stage West for local productions of three prestigious plays by Black American playwrights.
These acclaimed, game-changing shows were all on Broadway between 2022-2023. Now they are making their way to our local stages. Each of these plays are ‘do-not-miss’ theatre, and we’ve got a surprise to sweeten the deal!
Patrons who buy a full-price ticket to one of these productions will receive a 20% discount for tickets to each of the other two!
Soul Rep Theatre Company: Ain’t No Mo’ by Jordan E. Cooper, playing Jun 5 - 8, 2025 (soulrep.org)
Circle Theatre: A Strange Loop by Michael R. Jackson, playing Jun 19 - Jul 12, 2025 (circletheatre.com)
Stage West Theatre: Fat Ham by James Ijames, playing Aug 28 - Sept 14, 2025 (stagewest.org)
This is an exciting opportunity to tout three locally-produced shows and the prolific work being written by contemporary Black playwrights who are changing the face of the American Theatre. If helpful, we would be happy to put you in contact with theatre leadership or artists associated with these productions - just let us know.
It is our hope that “Black Broadway Summer” will create an opportunity for the communities we serve to see these 3 incredible stories while also alleviating a little pressure on folks’ pocket books.
