to hear our 2023 plays, celebrate our writers, and be a part of this great evening of theatre that celebrates local talent!


Plus Pepe's Taqueria Food Truck will be on site following the performances —

please stay and eat with us!

Please note, students are allowed to write about any subject they choose. They are allowed to use *colorful language* and adult situations. The topics in this year's readings include difficult subjects such as school shootings, theft, and guns.

We are thrilled for this years Finalist Reading Series! When a Finalist writer cannot attend our Reading Series, we pass along the opportunity to our semifinalist writers to have their play performed! This year's line up includes some amazing plays!

Join us at Texas Wesleyan University on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 4:30pm for our HSPP Finalist Reading Series!

Our Finalist Reading Series will feature the staged reading of a mix of finalist & semifinalist plays performed by professional DFW actors.

This event is free of charge and open to the general public, families, and friends of the playwrights. PEPE'S TAQUERIA will have their truck on campus selling taco and quesadilla plates after the performances. Parking is available in LOT L — Performances in The Law Stone Fine Arts Center/Thad Smotherman Theatre | 3001 Avenue E., Fort Worth, TX 76105.
